Motorola Wave and MotoTrbo
With Mimer SoftRadio you can remote control your Wave or MotoTrbo Radio over a LAN or over the Internet.
This means that you can connect your Wave-radios together with your analogue or digital standard radios at the same operator PC. The operator can work in parallel with all types of radios and also make cross patches between the systems.
Functions
The Network Interface LE gives remote capability of audio and PTT (No virtual control head).
In order to remote control more than one talk group you need to set up several radios in parallel, each with its own network interface. You can then monitor all groups in parallel.
On the portables, all connections are made from the radios side connector. On the fixed mobile radio in the back connector.
Suitable Network Interface is 3130, and cable kit 3260 for the portable.
Similar solutions can be made both for the Wave-Radio (TLK100), the MotoTrbo radio (SL1600) and for other Motorola portable radios with the round side connector. Please ask!
Note that we recommend the use of a fixed “mobile” radio, like the TLK150 for Wave networks. A mobile radio have a better accessory connector, better power supply (not a battery) and a better antenna connector.
Examples of use:
- When several dispatchers wants to share one radio.
- When one or more dispatchers needs to monitor more than one talkgroup in the IP-Radio system simoultaneusly.
- When the dispatcher needs to control several types of radios from the same application.
- CrossPatch between LTE-Radio talkgroups and standard two way radios, like analogue, Marine VHF, Airband VHF, DMR, Tetra or MPT.
Alternative:
X-Link
You can also connect your Wave-radio to our X-Link interface. This will build a permanent patch between the LTE-radio and any other radio connected.
Supported radio models:
- TLK100
- TLK150
- SL1600
- SL2600

System examples:
Two Wave-Radios and one Marine Radio remote controlled from two dispatcher PC´s.
Both dispatchers can monitor both Wave-Radios. The Wave-Radios are typically set to different talkgroups.
SoftRadio dispatchers connected both to a Wave-radio and to a DMR radio.
The dispatchers can set up a cross patch between the two systems. So that they work as one large talk group.
