Motorola APX-series

We have a kit that will remote control your Motorola Astro APX-series radio.
With this you can remote control your radio from “anywhere” in the world using the Internet or other IP connection.

Functions

You will get remote capability of audio and PTT. (No virtual control head or other functionality)

You can build systems where you have one or more operators at one location and radios at one or more other locations. You can use any type of IP connection, including LAN, WAN, Internet, Satellite, to connect the remote radios.

In the operator software you can mix with other types of radios, phones, PA or intercom. Building a very flexible system. You can also cross patch between systems and add a VoiceLog for recording of the audio.

No special programming is needed in the radio.
Suitable Network Interface is 3130.

Examples of use:

  • Local use when several dispatchers want to share one radio
  • Remote use where a dispatcher at one location want to talk to radio users at a different location
  • Remote use where a dispatcher would like to connect to many radios at different sites
  • CrossPatch between Astro talk groups and other two way radios, like analogue, IDAS, DMR, Airband or Tetra.
