SoftLine Essentials

SoftLine gives you the ability to connect two units that are wide apart, using LAN, WAN or the Internet.

It can play the role as the old leased line, it can build a cross patch, it can bridge radio systems together or it can remote control a radio.

Mimer SoftLine Virtual Four-Wire Audio and Control Over IP

Mimer SoftLine enables the creation of a virtual four-wire, full-duplex audio line by linking two Mimer Network Interfaces over a LAN or the Internet.

In addition to the audio channel, the system provides RS232 data connectivity and configurable I/O ports—making it ideal for connecting legacy base stations, dispatch consoles, or radio switches. These connections can also be repurposed for alarms or other communication systems beyond radio, offering versatile integration options.

Traditional leased lines are costly, particularly over long distances. By transmitting audio over the Internet, Mimer SoftLine significantly reduces operational expenses while maintaining reliability.

Another key application is the ability to connect a standard radio control head to the radio unit across extended distances. This is particularly useful when PC-based operation (as used in Mimer SoftRadio) is not desired. With Mimer SoftLine, remote control over IP using a standard control head becomes seamless and efficient.
