Ericsson Aurora / Niros TRX3001
There is an interface and a Virtual Control Head for the Ericsson Aurora / Niros TRX3001.
You can remote control your radio from “anywhere” in the world using the Internet or other IP connection.
Functions
The virtual control head gives you full control of the radio, just as if you were sitting in front of it. All buttons can be accessed from your touch screen, with the mouse or by short cuts on the standard keyboard.
The standard control head can be connected in parallel.
All connections are made from the rear connector on the radio. You can not connect through the microphone connector.
The extarnal alarm function in the radio should be programmed for always on. Mimer will through this know that a selective call has been placed to the radio and activate its sel call function; blinking green name bar and audio alert.
Apart from this no special programming is needed.
Please Note:
There are some radios that are programmed to save information to the control heads memory, for example a manually added sel cal number. This will cause the Virtual Control Head to show corrupted text, since it can not handle the information. A few key presses later all is normal in the display again.
This can be prevented by changing the programming in the radio so that it instead saves all info in the radio, and not in the control head.
Examples of use:
- Local use when several dispatchers want to share one radio
- Remote use where a dispatcher at one location want to talk to radio users at a different location
- CrossPatch between Marine radio channels and other two way radios, like analogue, IDAS, DMR, Tetra or MPT
Please note that the Ericsson Aurora and Niros TRX3001 are no longer supplied from the factory.
