Connecting radios all over the world

Sailor Marine VHF Radios

We have a ready made cable kit that connects a Sailor 6222 or a RT5022 radio to a Mimer Network Interface.

With this you can remote control your radio from “anywhere” in the world using the Internet or other IP.

Mimer SoftRadio

You get remote capability of audio and PTT. (No virtual control head or other functionality)

The radio can simultaneously be used as a standard radio with its control head, microphone and speaker.

No special programming is needed in the radio.

For DSC signaling see this page.

Suitable Network Interface is 3130 and cable kit 3092 or 3276 respectively.

For other types of Sailor radios, please ask.

Work in progress

We have a development work in progress to build a remote control head for the Sailor 6222. This is estimated for late in Q4 2021.

The virtual control head will be a full replica of the radios control head, so that the operator feels like he is sitting in front of the radio. All functions for channel change, DSC calls etc will be there.

Examples of use:

  • Local use when several dispatchers want to share one radio
  • Remote use where a dispatcher at one location want to talk to radio users at a different location
  • Remote use where a dispatcher would like to connect to many radios at different sites
  • CrossPatch between Marine radio channels and other two way radios, like analogue, IDAS, DMR, Tetra or MPT
